Barbara Ann Mandrell was born in Houston, Texas on Christmas Day 1948. He is an American country music singer, musician, and actress. Her father Irby Mandrell is also an outstanding musician and entrepreneur and is the leader of her three professions.

She is famous for a series of country-pop songs in the 1970s and 1980s and has her own prime-time variety show on NBC, which made her one of the most successful country female singers of that period. On October 23, 1997, she held her last concert at the Grand Ole Opry House and then retired.
