Sharon Gless, whose real name is Sharon Marguerite Gless, was born in California in 1943. Sharon rose to prominence when she landed the role of Maggie Philbin on Switch. She is just not an ordinary actress. In 1998, Gless’s documentary “Ion Rand: A Feeling of Life” won an Oscar nomination for best documentary. During the five years from 2000 to 2005, Debbie Novotny played by Gless in the TV series Queer became the most acclaimed character by the audience.
