Shelly Duval is known for her chilling portrayal of Wendy Torrance in the 1980 Stanley Kubrick horror film The Shining. She started her acting career in the 1970s and appeared in different Robert Altman films. including Brewster McCloud (1970), McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971), Thieves Like Us (1974), Nashville (1975).
Aside from being an actress, she is also a producer, writer, and singer. As a producer, she produced the Faerie Tale Theater, for which she gained an Emmy Award.
